FRANK VITALI MEMORIAL CUB SCOUT AWARD Frank Vitali was a very active Scouter in our District. He was involved with the Boy Scout program, served on the district staff, and was the Cubmaster of Pack 1431 for a very long time. His love of the program, and the young boys he helped knew no limits. No matter what the event, Frank was there to help. It is only fitting that we honor those involved in the Cub Scout program that show the same commitment to it as Frank did with this award.
HAROLD HOUGH MEMORIAL BOY SCOUT AWARD
For many years, Harold Hough served as the District Advancement Chairman. He shepherded countless of young men through the final step in earning their Eagle. He was a member of the District Staff and served on many a district event. Because of his dedication to the Boy Scout program, we honor those that show that same dedication with this award
JACK MAGYAR MEMORIAL TRAINING AWARD
Jack Magyar seemed to live for training the youth and adults involved in Scouting. In addition to serving as a Cubmaster and Scoutmaster of troop 1184, he also oversaw the council JLT program and our district training programs. If you needed any help in any aspect of Scouting, Jack was there for you. To those who show that same dedication to training, we award them this award.
DISTRICT AWARD OF MERIT
This award is a council award presented by districts in the same manner that the Silver Beaver is a national award presented by councils. The award is available to Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature to their district.
KEY THREE AWARD
The key three award is presented by the district to those individuals who have provided exceptional service to the district.
SILVER BEAVER The Silver Beaver Award is the highest honor a local council of the Boy Scouts of America can bestow on a registered adult leader. Recipients of this award are individuals that have truly made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to a Boy Scout Council. The Silver Beaver is an award given to those who go quietly about their business implementing the Scouting program and performing community service through hard work, self sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. It is given to those who do not actively seek it; being nominated for the award in itself is seen as one of the highest honors that can be bestowed on a Scouter.
